In my recent work I have been exploring the subject of spacial experience and awareness. Whether it be the simple act of the self from the non-self, these experiences directly inform the understanding of our own existence. My paintings exploring the subject of self hypnosis, try to convey the physical sensations directly experienced from this practice. No doubt this is practically impossible to achieve, but remains an interesting goal to pursue.

I am very interested in 'the beautiful'. My art is strongly influenced by aesthetics and aesthetic values. I do not want to tell someone what they should be feeling when they look at my art. Just as I do not want to tell someone what they should see or how they should see it. I am interested to know what is 'seen by others' from what I create.

I paint large scale portraits made out of representative imagery depicting socially excluded individuals in our society. The individuals represent systematically dehumanized minorities that have been reduced to bare lives (bodies) living outside the main political body, therefore silenced, ignored and misrepresented, this has led to the commodification of these individual's inherent to social alienation and exclusion.
